Development Manager

Exciting opportunity to work on best-in-class Master Data Management products deployed worldwide.  The Development Manager is a role requiring Managerial, Technical, Business knowledge and skills to manage people, projects, and be involved in developing / maintaining features. Development Manager leads a team of 10 or more Developers. In addition, the Development team has the exciting challenge of providing rapid and valuable insight into the customer business needs. At the higher level, incumbents are instrumental in overall planning and Responsible for coordinating with various functions in Product release, working with global teams with different time zones

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Engineering team responsible for design, development and delivery of quality software on schedule.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, initiative, innovation, and business results.
  • Evaluate, build and strengthen the team as required
  • Manage stake-holder requirements and expectations
  • Build and coach the team for visible results

Skill sets

  • Bachelors / Master Degree in Engineering -Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10+ years of Enterprise Product Development, 3+ years of People Management experience
  • Knowledge & Experience with programming languages C#, MS SQL, Web Technologies
  • Experience working within a Windows environment
  • Understanding of web protocols and technology
  • Experience with managing software development projects using an Agile/Iterative/Scrum
  • Ability and willingness to aggregate, analyze, and synthesize input from technical and business resources to draw clear conclusions.
  • Ability to interface with multiple departments (Product / PM / Support / Professional Services)
  • Ability to provide creative, sustainable, scalable solutions at an enterprise level
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Must be self-managed, proactive, and customer focused
  • Ability to manage escalations
  • Ability to communicate effectively, freely, and concisely to influence, negotiate, and convince.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations while maintaining poise and professionalism.
  • Strong leadership ability, confident, resilient, persistent, and solutions-oriented.
  • Ability to see the big picture, while not losing sight of necessary details.
